The location of the hotel was good, as it is really close to the Ancient Town and it was just a short stroll to the main areas. The pool too was really nice, it was big and clean and had really long opening hours too.
The restaurant on the 4th floor was really nice to sit in and take in the scenery and the buffet breakfast was ok, but the table cloths and just small details like that were really aged and had holes in them. The bathroom was a little aged as well but that wasn't too bad really. It was a nice hotel in a great location.
nice clean, good swimming pool
the noise from the temple across the street
Breakfast was great food and the pool area was a welcome relief from the heat.
The VISA facility was broken for our entire stay and they would only accept cash. I was told an apparent problem with the bank was to blame. It sounded like this is just a trick to get cash only.
Wasn't happy with the hotel-lift not working, hole in the bathtub, noisy airconditioner, breakfast not great. When I told them I wanted to check out they tried to force us to stay. Kept changing their story about the manager saying different things. Not really the place you want to stay if the staff try and force you to stay. Not recommended at all!
staff was friendly.
l requested to pay vn currency when l checked in. the staff told me the rate. but the rate rose up too much when l checked out.
It is possible to go sightseeing on foot. The kind of the breakfast is abundant.
The car of the garbage collection passes the hotel front at 6 AM. The sound is very large. I was requesting sending off to the airport beforehand.I was confirming it the day before of the checkout. However, I was made to wait because other employees had not known my reservation. Price of sending off to the airport was called 15 dollars first. However, it was said 20 dollars next. It made it to 15 dollars after I complaining.
The location was excellent, very convenient and close walking distance to everything within the main city of Hoi An - this is why we chose it.
I think the hotel was more a two star than three. The mattress and Pillows were made out of foam and were very very uncomfortable. The buffet breakfast in comparison to other 3 star hotels was below standard hence we believe it is a star over rated. The staff were friendly however.
they wanted to sell the taxi to Danang Airport for 300.000, common is 200.000, we missed butter and cheese at the breakfast buffett, which is big, but not so nice in detail, we witnessed another guest complaining about their exchange rate and, in fact, they wanted to charge us to much too.
The hotel staff was just wonderfull
Good to have a swimming pool in the hotel. It was not a bad location, being within walking distance of the central markets area. Reception staff were helpful in arranging the purchase of a local sim card for my mobile. From my windo on the 3rd floor, I could keep an eye on my laundry drying on the line out the back
That bloody big rat running around the 2nd floor reception area! Also, the rather large cockroaches in the room did not appeal to my partner. And those roosters crowing at 4:30am each morning right outside the window! HWS gave up the ghost in my friend's room next door.
Location was good although not the best as I have read from other reviews. It is in the city centre but the action is a 10 minutes walk away, which was ok for me but may not be for others. There is a pool which is a bonus although I never used it.
The room was decently clean but the bathroom was quite old and I felt some bad smell coming from the toilet. Cleanliness is definitely an isue as I have seen (a couple of times) rats crossing my path in the corridor. The rooms look nice but those are small signs that the hotel is not the cleanest place. For 33usd a night, or even for less (sometimes even half), I've had better rooms in Vietnam. Moreover, the staff were a bit pushy with their tours/ticket service, but based on mu experience so far this is quite common in Vietnam.
Great to relax in pool, location was very handy to shopping and tourist areas in the old quarter
It is very convenient that An Phu hotel have their own tourist company.
Location was good
Old decour it requires a refurbishment the hotel tried to charge me for breakfast I had allready paid for . the picture of the swimming pool looks good but its a very small pool
Do not stay at this hotel. After booking online we requested airport pickup. When we arrived at the airport no-one was there to pick us up. We called them and they said they didn't come because we didn't pay in advance even though we had confirmed the airport pickup with them via email and they hadn't mentioned anything about it. They said they could come in 45 mins but we caught a taxi instead. We had requested a twin bed room, when we arrived we were given a double. They moved us to a twin room but half of the lights were broken so we went back to the double. In our new room the shower was broken, there was no shower curtain, no bath map or soaps and the toilet didn't flush. The doors to the balcony were not secure and could easily have been broke into. The room smelled really bad and there were stains on the sheets. We checked out after only one night. Do not stay at this hotel!
